Ultram Online Information

Warnings and Precautions

Before taking Ultram, you should tell your doctor if you have any of the following: kidney disease, liver disease, a history of alcohol or drug dependence. If you have any of these conditions, you may not be able to take Ultram, or you may require a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatment with Ultram. Ultram belongs to FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether it will harm to an unborn baby. You should not take this medicine without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant. It is also not known whether Ultram passes into breast milk. Missed Dose

Possible Side Effects

Although side effects caused by Ultram are not common, they can happen. The most frequently reported side effects concerned in central nervous system (migraine, speech disorders) and gastrointestinal system (gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatitis, stomatitis, liver failure). Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: dizziness, headache, drowsiness, blurred vision, upset stomach, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: fast heartbeat, redness, swelling, and itching of the face, numbness or tingling of the hands and feet, difficulty breathing, changes in urination, seizures.

Storage

You should store Ultram in a tight container at 68 to 77F (20 to 25C) and out of reach of children.

Overdose

You should be aware of the symptoms of Ultram overdose, namely: difficulty breathing; shallow, weak breathing; and seizures. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek emergency medical assistance.

• You should not drink alcohol when taking Ultram. The reason for this is that alcohol may cause a dangerous decrease in breathing and/or liver problems if used during treatment with Ultram.
